This programme, being held from 21st to 25th July 2025, aims to give school students from Classes VIII to X a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of science by spending a day in a premier research laboratory. The sessions run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily at CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow.

Key Features of the Programme:
• Hands-on scientific experimentation
• Interaction with scientists and researchers
• Exposure to state-of-the-art research infrastructure
• Experience in cutting-edge scientific facilities
• Inspiring connections with real-world science
A special motivational lecture titled “Why We Study Science” was also organized as part of the programme. The session aimed to help students understand the relevance of science in their daily lives and how it influences everything from the technology they use to the environment they live in. By highlighting the impact of scientific thinking on progress and innovation, the lecture encouraged students to view science not just as a subject in school, but as a powerful tool for shaping a better future.

To make the experience even more engaging, the programme included fun science-based activities along with interactive quizzes that encouraged participation and tested the students’ scientific knowledge in an enjoyable way.
These efforts reflect the spirit of the Jigyasa initiative, which seeks to bridge the gap between science and society and promote a culture of curiosity and scientific thinking among young learners.
The initiative aligns with the larger objective of the Jigyasa program to bridge the gap between science and society and to create a robust ecosystem of scientific temper among the youth.
