LUCKNOW: In a remarkable recognition of his scientific excellence, Dr. R. Ravishankar, Chief Scientist at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), Lucknow, has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) the country’s oldest and most prestigious science body. This honour comes close on the heels of his recent induction as a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), marking a rare dual distinction for his path-breaking research in Biochemistry and Structural Biology.
This prestigious fellowship is conferred upon eminent scientists in recognition of their significant contributions to science and technology. Dr. Ravishankar has made outstanding contributions in the field of Biochemistry & Structural Biology, which have advanced the frontiers of drug discovery and biomedical research.
His election as a NASI Fellow is a testimony to his impactful scientific work and dedication to advancing research for national development. The recognition also brings pride to CSIR-CDRI, reaffirming its legacy of nurturing scientific excellence and innovation in drug research.
