National Technology Day 2026: CSIR-CDRI Celebrates Innovation, Research, and Healthcare Impact

The CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) celebrated National Technology Day with immense enthusiasm. To mark the occasion, the institute hosted its prestigious Translational Research Lecture Series. The event featured an inspiring keynote address by renowned orthopedic surgeon and academic leader, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh.
The day was a proud moment for CSIR-CDRI. The institute honored its scientists, innovators, and members of the Technology Transfer & Licensing Team. They were recognized for their outstanding contributions to scientific innovation, technology development, and translational research.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (Saifai), delivered a lecture titled, “My Journey to Translational Medicine as an Orthopedic Surgeon.” He highlighted the critical need to bridge clinical practice with scientific research. This connection is vital to developing impactful healthcare solutions.

Drawing from his own professional journey, Prof. Singh shared valuable insights. He emphasized the growing role of translational medicine in improving patient care and advancing medical technologies.
Dr. Radha Rangarajan, Director of CSIR-CDRI, presided over the program. She congratulated the awardees and applauded the institute’s scientific community for its dedication to innovation and societal impact.
During the ceremony, CSIR-CDRI recognized key individuals whose research has significantly strengthened the institute’s mission. A major highlight of the event was the release of the CSIR-CDRI Annual Report 2025–26. This report showcases the institute’s scientific achievements, research milestones, and technology-driven successes over the past year.
